3 slightly beaten eggs
¼ cup sugar*
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups milk, scalded and slightly cooled
½ teaspoon vanilla

Combine eggs, sugar and salt; slowly stir in milk and vanilla. Pour into pie crust.

Place in preheated 425 degree oven and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce to 350 degrees and continue baking for about 40 – 45 minutes or till knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

Top with nutmeg.
